Assistant Contract Manager
Assistant Contracts Manager – Birmingham – Permanent – up to £37,500 plus benefits
Excipion’s leading public sector client are looking for an Assistant Contracts Manager to provide contract management across a corporate contracts portfolio. The organisation have a growing portfolio of contracts, including both standard government forms and NEC3 contracts.
Key responsibilities will include:
Assist their designated Contract Manager in their duties of managing a portfolio of corporate contracts up to a combined value of £60M.
Contribute to the administration of corporate contracts
Assist in drafting documents to progress change requests through the company’s governance structure, systems and in association with company functions;
Assist in compiling documents for compliance checks against contracts
Assist in the production of contract management plans for each contract
Review supplier performance against KPIs and performance measures
Assist in the calculation of service credits and warranty payments
Work to achieve value for money at each stage of the contract.
The successful candidate will:
Demonstrable working knowledge in an assistant contracts or commercial role with regards to corporate contracts
Have basic knowledge of different forms of contract e.g. NEC3 and risk allocation
Stakeholder management skills
Knowledge of contract management payment systems e.g. SAP.
Good attention to detail, especially with regards to contract documentation
Excellent administrative skills, able to switch between tasks without losing concentration.
This role will suit a Contracts Manager or Contracts Officer or Commercial Officer or Contracts Lead or Contracts Specialist
