Category Buyer – FM, Construction & Utilities

Category Buyer (FM, Construction & Utilities) 12 month FTC – Hampshire – £35k to £40k

A Category Buyer is required to join a leading engineering organisation based in North Hampshire.

Working as part of a large Procurement team you will be responsible for the execution of end to end procurement processes, including data collection, enquiry document preparation, negotiation, contract award, contract management and supplier relationship management.

You will ideally have:
Previous knowledge and experience within FM and/or construction.
Previous knowledge and experience of NEC3 contracts.
Knowledge of procurement systems and infrastructure.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated negotiation skills.
Strong interpersonal communications and the ability to work independently and across multiple functions.
Proven knowledge of complex contractual arrangements.
Problem solving ability, detail oriented ability to manage multiple tasks.
Independent worker with high degree of professionalism and integrity.
Highly results oriented. Keeps the organisation on track and delivery focussed.
Comfortably relates to many different types of people at all levels.

Suitable applicants will have proven experience in Procurement within an Aerospace, Defence, Engineering or similar business sourcing services and managing subcontracts for high value programmes/projects. You will have a working knowledge of Category Procurement and high value negotiations.

The site is commutable from Hampshire, Surrey, Basingstoke, Woking, Guildford, Farnham, Petersfield, Chichester, Salisbury, Winchester, Fareham or Southampton.
