Supplier Quality Engineer

Supplier Quality Engineer – Dorset – £35,000/£40,000 – Permanent

Excipion is currently recruiting for a leading technology developer within the Defence and Aerospace industry. Our client is actively recruiting a Supplier Quality Engineer on a permanent basis for their expanding team in Dorset.

The Supplier Quality Engineer will be responsible for establishing supplier approval systems, conducting audits, and improving Supplier Quality performance whilst ensuring adherence to Quality Management System requirements. You will also drive root cause analysis and the on-going development of increased supplier capability whilst establishing quality standards for suppliers who are providing materials per specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage supplier approval and auditing processes.
Drive supplier quality management to regulatory standards e.g., AS/EN 9100.
Prioritize supplier nonconformance management and root cause analysis.
Ensure Quality Assurance for new and existing suppliers
Ensure accurate flow down of Quality requirements.
Improve supplier Quality Metrics by driving improvement plans
Ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain to ensure highest levels of product integrity

The successful candidate will have previous experience as a supplier quality engineer or supplier developer within a technology company, ideally mechanical or aerospace. You will have proven experience of driving root cause with Suppliers and a background in Quality Assurance. A good understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS/EN 9100 and NADCAP will be very useful as will technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.

This role is likely to suit a Supplier Quality Engineer or SQE or Supplier Engineer or Quality Engineer.
